PARISIAN

François Truffaut and Denys Clerval with the camera crew on the set of Baiser volés (Stolen Kisses, dir. Truffaut, 1968) in Paris. Baiser voles (Stolen Kisses) continues the story of recurrent character Antoine Doinel, whom Truffaut had previously depicted in Les quatre cents coups (The 400 Blows) and the short film Antoine et Colette (Antoine and Colette). In Baiser voles (Stolen Kisses), Antoine (Jean-Pierre Léaud) seeks out his sweetheart Christine (Claude Jade) after being discharged from the army. The film sees Antoine losing several jobs and breaking up with Christine, before the two finally reunite. The film was nominated for an Oscar for 'Best Foreign Language Film'.
