WAVES

For Wolfgang Bloch, waves - literal breakers and the crashing washes of colour - are everywhere. A stunning, almost McCahon-esque abstraction of the most everywhere landscape phenomenon ensues. In the way they balance on the shift between sea and sky, they remind me of Debra Bloomfield's Oceanscapes. Beautiful.

WE DISAPPEARED

Am Meer/Sea scapes.

I feel a strange desire to turn these images upside down, as if I was lying on the beach with looking up at the sky, then tilting my head back so far as to see the deep blue proposal of the horizon, and further round, the sea stretching out beyond.
To disappear myself into the scape.

Beautiful work by Thomas Wrede.
